This is the first issue hard box dated 1969 with the Big 'A' logo. In the late 1960s, Aurora realized that it would have to produce more realistic models due to the changing tastes of model builders. From that date forward, Aurora produced some very good kits, and this A-7 is one of them. It is nicely molded with recessed panel lines and features repositionable elevators, retractable landing gear, pilot and cockpit detail, AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and 6 pylons with an extensive iron bomb & drop tank loadout and more. The quality of this kit was such that when Monogram purchased the Aurora molds, this is one of the few kits that they reissued.
