The Cadillac's reputation grew to the extent that it became the most prestigious American car available. The 1959 Coupe de Ville was no exception and continued the reputation with its distinctive styling and extraordinary rear fins. This large car which was over 18 feet long and weighed nearly 5,000 lbs was powered by a 387 cubic inch V8 engine developing over 196 hp, providing a very smooth and graceful ride.
